New Nursing Home – Replacement Facility

Countryside, a 94,000 square foot nursing home on a 12.75-acre site, contains 120 rooms within 6 “households.” Designed using the private residence – private toilet design concept, this complex provides all the latest features for its occupants.  Each “household” contains therapeutic bathing, a serving kitchen and dining areas.  Food service is individualized for each “household” and delivered from a central kitchen.  Unique design features include providing a Therapy department for the Residents of the facility, which also serves as an Outpatient Clinic.

Countryside Home’s household evolved from the staff’s desire to provide a nucleus of three shortened resident wings radiating from a dining/activity and supportive service core.  This concept easily permitted flexibility in the number of residents per household depending on resident care staffing requirements.  It also maximizes the number of residents being served from a single supportive service center.
