Nursing Home – Alteration
This project consists of multiple phases which involve updates to the interior spaces of the building not only for aesthetic reasons but more importantly to provide a resident based approach to the staff/resident care model.
The first of these phases which is currently under construction consists of relocating and downsizing the central nurses station by creating staff hubs (point of service areas) on each wing of the existing building. Each of these areas contain an area for charting, soiled utility, clean utility, lift storage and nourishment areas.
In addition the project will completely transform the existing bathing areas, create a new private social service office and carve out a new lounge area for residents by eliminating an antiquated bathing room.
