Schroeder & Holt Architects has been working with Midwest Dialysis since the early 90’s developing treatment centers throughout southeast Wisconsin.  Midwest Dialysis Centers are medical clinics designed to provide Hemodialysis treatment for individuals affected by kidney disease and to assist their families in dealing with the disease.  These buildings are 6,000-7,000 sq. ft. buildings 10-16 patients at a time.  The complexity of these projects is in the co-ordination of the specialized medical systems.  Reverse osmosis water filtration and acid cleansing systems are handled by individual subcontractors.  Proper installation and co-ordination of these elements are critical for the safety and well being of the patients.  Our work for MDC has included new facilities and build-outs in other buildings.
